On January 7th, those who are organizing resistance to the Goodridge marriage equality decision will have their anti-gay day at the State House. Join us there on Thursday, January 8th at Noon to defend the Goodridge decision -- and the law!
A SPECIAL EVENT ALERT from the Massachusetts Gay & Lesbian Political Caucus: Those who are organizing resistance to the Goodridge decision -- both in the state and from around the country -- will be rallying and lobbying at the Massachusetts State House on Wednesday, January 7th. The next day, on January 8th, supporters of marriage rights for same sex couples will join together at the State House at NOON for a rally in Nurses Hall that will end by 1 P.M. (Nurses Hall is easy to find and there will be rally marshals at the entrances to help you.)
Our opponents are trying to bully the legislature into overturning the decision and keeping same-sex couples a separate, "lesser" group of citizens. Please come and help show that the people of Massachusetts do support civil rights for all families. And that this cynical resistance movement is no match for the fair-minded movement toward equality.
Please plan on joining us and bring as many friends as you can. Please ask at least 5 friends to ask 5 more friends to come. We look forward to seeing you at the Rally for Equality: Protect the Goodridge Decision!

Thank you. I've been involved in a similar movement in Canada for some time now.
