The lesson of Iraq

What should other countries learn from the Iraq war? That if the United Nations tells them to disarm, and they comply, then their government will be overthrown within twelve years, because they will no longer have any weapons to fight back with.

So who wants to bet what North Korea's reaction would be if the UN passed a resolution calling for them to disarm? If you were North Korea, how would you feel about letting inspectors into your country in order to verify that you are truly and completely helpless?

If you saw someone lay down their gun and then get shot immediately afterwards, what would you do with your gun? Especially if the person doing the shooting had repeatedly stated that the law doesn't apply to them?
